Roman and Natalia were adopted. Let's hope they will stay with their new family forever!

The story of an orphan child is always tragic. There are some life stories though, which leave a very deep impression on you.

Roman and Natalia were not really lucky with their own parents. There are hardly many grownups who would be able to overcome what these children had to face. Orphan asylum, a new orphanage and then by a stroke of luck the children were finally adopted. Their new family made them feel themselves confident and safe. Unfortunately their new mom soon got some serious health problems, so Roman and Natalia had to return to their orphanage.

What are they like? Natalia is bright and rather reserved. Her humble behavior can sometimes make one think of her obedient personality. Teachers describe Natalia as a caring and diligent pupil. She is honest and devoted to her studies a lot. She gets upset when she gets a bad mark.

This year brother and sister have started to attend a music school where they learn to play the piano. I cannot say for sure who is better at playing since Natalia did not show her musical skills letting her brother enjoy his moment of fame. By the way, despite the fact that they are of different ages, they are classmates at their usual school. And Natalia is very glad about it as her brother can always defend her in case of any troubles. Roman is a great example for her. She even shares his interests as she doesn’t have her own ones yet.

Roman, in comparison with his sister, is a real fireball. He is pretty good at playing chess and did not miss an opportunity to show me his musical talents. He is very sociable and keen on football. Last spring he travelled to the Carpathian Mountains. Roman is a clever pupil but does not always study so well. He is more interested in a real life and relationships. He is eager to be a leader and he likes being in the public eye. At the same time, he dreams of becoming a tractor driver, so that’s why natural history is his favourite subject.

If you wish to be a real magician and turn this sad fairy tale into a happy one, you have a wonderful opportunity to do that. These children are looking forward to their dreams coming true!

If you are interested in adopting, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56. Request Roman’s (# 0055639) and Natalia’s (#0055638) profiles.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage) with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
