Our charity foundation has grown to love the Sleptsov family as if they were our very own. We have fought together in support of Alexander's health on more than one occasion. We are very grateful for all the achievements that have been made through your support and need to ask for your help again now.
This winter Alexander caught chickenpox. The illness reduced his already poor eyesight to just 3%. The situation is now very serious as we were all working hard to try and keep at least 10% of his sight.
On New Year's Eve Alexander's father detected his son behaving strangely. He was touching the walls while trying to move around the house. Alexander would say that all was fine and that he did not want to go to the hospital again...
An eye examination revealed that Alexander's eyesight had suffered a drastic reduction due to the chickenpox virus. It was recommended that Alexander should go to the Helmholtz Moscow Research Institute for Eye Diseases for some additional tests.
Alexander also needs to undergo some further examinations at the Filatov clinic (Russia) where he had his interior bypass surgery. This examination will reveal the condition of the bypass and whether it is clotted. This will also allow them to predict any possible risk of future haemorrhage etc.
This checkup and travel will require 9,000 hryvnyas or 1,100 US dollars:
- 4,000 hryvnyas (approximately 490 US dollars) – two way tickets;
-3,000 hryvnyas (approximately 370 US dollars) – two checkups at the Helmholtz Moscow Research Institute of Eye Diseases;
-2,000 hryvnyas (approximately 245 US dollars) - living expenses.
Alexander’s family really needs our prayers and financial support right now. Let’s help this little brave smiling boy fight for his vision!
