Danil Sirota: “Help me Win My Battle for Life, Please!”

October 20, 2013, 9:00 3050 Author: Alina Senyuk, translated by Daria Sukach www.deti.zp.ua This young sportsman is bravely fighting cancer and urgently needs your prayers and financial support! There is still a long and winding road to his recovery full of chemotherapy treatments and rehabilitation courses

Danil has been bravely fighting for his life since the beginning of this year.

Last January Danil suddenly felt some pain under his knee. He simply ignored this alarming symptom since such little troubles were nothing new for him as a young sportsman. The pain soon eased but after some time it returned at greater intensity, so Danil started to limp. The medical examination revealed an awful truth called osteosarcoma which is one of the most complicated cases of primary bone cancer.

Danil has courageously overcome seven chemotherapy courses, tumor removal surgery and a knee joint replacement. There are still five chemotherapy courses ahead.

One can never express what Danil’s family is facing now. However, no ordeals have broken the strength of this family.

Danil is learning to walk again with crutches. That’s an amazing progress if to take into consideration the fact that the boy could hardly sit after his surgery.

Danil, his younger sister and parents are currently staying in Kyiv and this requires a great deal of money. Danil’s little sister also needs to undergo surgery which is scheduled for this November.

It’s extremely expensive to be sick in Ukraine particularly when the only bread-earner is your father as in Danil’s case. The Sirota Family really needs your prayers and financial support. There is always a way to help. Even a little prayer and the smallest amount of money can make a difference for this brave young sportsman who wants to live so much. Let’s help Danil win his battle for life, please!
