Karina is peacefully sleeping in her crib... Her life mostly takes place within the confines of one room. This little girl needs special care. "We feed and bathe her, and change her position: we let her lie on one side, then turn her to the other side," one of the teachers of the group home tells us. "We also give her massages, to stretch the muscles in her arms and legs." These unsophisticated procedures fill Karina's life.
Karina is unable to express her wishes and emotions by word or action, but she always responds with a smile to kindness, love, and affection, or even to a simple question, "Karina dear, how are you?"
If you are interested in adopting Karina, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56.
