A Child Needs a Family: Tanya M., born in 2002

August 2, 2012, 13:30 4555 Author: Victoria Mochalova, translated by Anna Oliynyk www.deti.zp.ua Tanya is a shy and tender girl. It is hard to say what is special about her, but when you think about her, you just can’t keep from smiling. Profile # 0057659

Little Tanya has no particular successes in studies, she is not a do-it-all girl, and does not demonstrate any particular artistic talents… She is just a shy and tender girl. It is easy to get along with her, if you don’t expect much from the child. And what about her, what does she need? Her main needs are love and support.

What do I mean? The girl has got an elder sister, who is very much like Tanya. She is a grown-up, lives on her own, but cannot find her way in life. So she comes to visit her little sister, but is not able to take care of her as she is very dependent herself and needs some kind adult person supporting and giving her directions in life.

Tanya is still a little girl, and I believe that if she finds a family, she will be quite capable of learning the main art in life – the art of being independent and taking good care of herself.

If you are interested in adopting Tanya or other children, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56. Request the Profile Number of Tanya accordingly to the orphan list # 0057659.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage) with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
