On March 9, our team carried out the evacuation of two elderly women from a frontline settlement in the Orikhiv direction.
One of the evacuees has significant mobility limitations, and the other has a severe visual impairment. Both require constant medical supervision and regular access to treatment.
The settlement where they stayed faces daily threats from the air: airstrikes, drone attacks of various types. There are also regular power and communication outages, and access to medical services is limited.
The evacuation was carried out to Zaporizhzhia, where temporary accommodation was organized for the women, provided with medicines, and given access to medical and social services.
During trips to frontline communities, a significant level of residential infrastructure destruction is recorded. This complicates both the stay of civilians and the conduct of evacuation measures.
This evacuation was carried out using partner transport, which allowed for timely departure.
At the same time, the Renault Trafic evacuation minibus “Malamute” currently requires comprehensive technical maintenance. Necessary work includes turbine restoration, replacement of glow plugs, injector cleaning, soot filter and EGR cleaning, as well as tire replacement.
In 2026, this vehicle has already ensured the evacuation of about 53 people and the delivery of humanitarian aid to frontline communities. It remains a key element in response logistics. Despite technical limitations, the team continues to carry out evacuation tasks.
The estimated cost of the necessary repair is 60,000 hryvnias (about 1,400 USD)
Support in restoring the transport directly affects the ability to continue evacuations and rapid response in frontline areas.
