Sergey is almost fourteen but he is finishing the fifth form now. Don’t think he is an idler and a pupil remaining in the same form for second year. Quite opposite: the boy is the best pupil in the class and likes math very much.
When Sergey’s mother died he left studies as he had to take care of himself. He got to the boarding school (orphanage)two years ago after a long wandering. He came to Zaporozhye on foot from his native town. At that time he was wild and reserved a little because his life compelled him to distrust people…
But time and kind treatment of teachers and class mates have done their part: Sergey at last can feel that somebody needs him and so, he is not lonely. He is sensitive and assiduous. He helps to handicapped children with great pleasure, conscientiously fulfills different tasks.
Besides, Sergey is remarkable for his curiosity, he reads a lot, solves crosswords, has a great interest in computer study, he aims to perceive the world deeply… And of course, takes an active part in outdoor games, especially, he likes to play football. Best of all he likes the part of a forward: everyone knows that to score a goal is a main thing!
Two years at the boarding school have changed Sergey much: his heart grew much warmer and gradually he opened his best traits and talents but of course, a boarding school can not be compared with a family!
