Many of us dream about a home – a cozy and warm one, located in unpolluted area. It is so good when next to such home there is a garden, a green meadow, a lake or a pond. And in the home there lives a family, loving and caring.

Our dream – to make cozy family-type homes for orphans with special needs – has already come into reality in two Happy Homes in Kalinovka which opened their doors in 2011 and in 2014. We could witness the positive transformation in the children who changed barrack-type living conditions into accommodation in a small group in family-like conditions.

In fall 2013, with support of people all over the world who could not stay indifferent we started construction works to build Happy Home-3 in the village of Ukrainka in Mykhailivka district of Zaporozhye region.

In contrast to the first two houses, which remain on the balance sheet of the orphanage, Happy House-3 will be fully registered in the books of the foundation, with tutors or foster parents working there as educators. It will allow us to avoid a big number of restrictions which are typical for state-owned orphanages. This house in the village of Ukrainka will become the first construction building in the Happy Child children’s ecovillage.

Happy Home-3 will for many decades bring the warmth of home fire to little orphans with special needs who now have to “survive” in institutions, which host hundreds of children.

Currently, big job has been completed by workers of our foundation, donators and volunteers. Thanks to the help of our donators, we have already raised walls and floor structures, with roofing works in progress.

For us to continue the works during the cold season, we need to install 13 vinyl windows and 3 entrance doors, which will cost us about 50 thousand hryvnyas (3,417 US dollars).
