Cystic fibrosis is a disease that affects you your entire life. To better understand what we mean – hold your breath as long as possible until you feel you cannot breathe. You will then get dizzy and not feel well. Those are the daily sensations experienced by children with cystic fibrosis.
Children of all ages love balloons – you can tell by the joy in their eyes and the big smile on the face. For a child that has difficulty breathing, it can be difficult for them to fully inflate a balloon.
We proposed to give children afflicted with CF and their loved ones a moment of joy as well as a chance to continue living a full life.
Flash mob basics:
1. Buy a pack of balloons with as many colors as possible… find as many balloons as possible!
2. Take a picture of a room in your house filled with the colorful balloons (blown up, of course).
3. Publish the photo to your social media pages with the hashtags #HappyChild #SuddenJoy #CysticFibrosis. Tag three of your friends in the photo and invite them to our flash mob!
4. Make a donation that you can afford. For example, 1 balloon = 1 USD donation.
