=====================================

Aleksandra was born in April of 2014. She was a very happy and lively little girl. In February 2016, one morning her mom noticed that Aleksandra was oddly tilting her head and unsteady in her step. Tatiana, her mom, immediately sounded the alarm and took her daughter to the hospital. After meeting with all the local doctors and specialists, she was sent to the regional hospital. At the larger hospital the doctors diagnosed Aleksandra with a subluxation of the cervical vertebra, bandaged her up and sent her home.

After only three days, Aleksandra started to lose weight. Her hands began to shake and her head shook even more often the little girl started to walk oddly and lean again the walls for support. Aleksandras mom knew that it was time to find a different doctor and specialist. Her daughter had a MRI and there they discovered a tumor in the posterior fossa. That very day Aleksandra was transferred to the oncology unit.

On April 8th, the doctors at Zaporozhe Regional Childrens Hospital partially removed the tumor. The results came in with a terrible diagnosis - cancer (medulloblastoma). During the next month and a half, she gained enough strength and confidence to start walking again, stopped shaking her hands as much and started to move her head normally again. Sasha has 16 chemotherapy treatments scheduled eight of which will be very strong (methotrexate). The treatment can only be undertaken in Kyiv at the National Cancer Institute.

Right now we are only waiting for your kindness and support.

The family lives in the city of Zaporozhe.
