How to make donations to the department

GENERAL INFORMATION

Orthopedy and traumatology surgery is the only department in our region that renders urgent and systematic assistance for children in this field. The department is meant for 60 patients and has 13 wards.

This department is located in one of the old buildings built more than 100 years ago. This building needs serious reconstruction and our regional authorities mark out definite sum of money for these purposes. The renewal of old buildings of our Regional Zaporozhye Children's Hospital has already begun.

But government financing for purchasing of medical equipment is so poor, it is not enough to supply the Hospital with modern science intensive equipment that for its turn needs special consumables, service and repair.

DEPARTMENT NEEDS:

Here are some of immediate needs of Orthopedy and traumatology department:

1. Child’s arthroscope for endoscope investigation;

2. Surgical set (950 – 2000$);

3. Bearing components for Ilizarov's external fixator (50$ for one part);

4. Surgical shadowless light;

5. Air-conditioners for wards;

6. Impact wrapping machine for packing sterile instrument;
