Daniel has been raised and loved as the only child of his single mother. Born a strong, healthy child, Daniel enjoyed the Azov Sea, talking with friends, and attending school, but never making any trouble. Daniel is artistic - drawing since childhood, loves music, and dreamed of attending the Mariupol Maritime Lyceum (an academy specializing in military nautical engineering).
At the end of his 10th year of school, Daniel was hospitalized with severe pain in his groin. After running a battery of tests, the doctors gave terrible news: Ewing’s sarcoma, already in stage 4. This devastating diagnosis put on hold his dream about the sea and service for the good of his country. Despite his lifelong dreams, he was unable to continue his education. Daniel’s dreams did not vanish, though. He clings to hope that he will fulfill his life’s dream after treatment and recovery.
Daniel and his mother have a new dream. Their dream is to defeat this dreadful disease. The challenges are difficult, but it is possible with help. Charity Foundation Happy Child has already begun helping Daniel to get the treatment he needs, but Daniel and his mother still face more chemotherapy sessions and a surgery. Monthly treatments cost 10,000 UAH ($385 USD). With your help, Daniel’s hope to realize his dreams might become reality.
