Over the past three months, we have paid for rehabilitation courses for five children diagnosed with cerebral palsy and delayed psycholinguistic development, spending almost 140,000 UAH (approximately 3310 US dollars). Thanks to your support, Polina Pehova, Stepan Suvorov, Oleksii Marchuk, Tymofii Lapkov and Artem Fedko have taken important steps forward — toward their first words, confident movements, and new achievements.
Stepan attended a rehabilitation center in Zaporizhzhia for a month. General massage helped relax overly tense muscles, therapeutic exercises strengthened his body, and cerebellar stimulation improved his ability to maintain balance. During speech therapy sessions, the boy learned to build sentences and express his thoughts better. The course was productive and brought a noticeably positive effect.
The rehabilitation of Polina became possible thanks to the support of the Ukrainian Community in the Spanish province of Almeria — our good friends who have already helped children more than once. We sincerely thank you, dear friends! Polina attended correctional sessions in Zaporizhzhia, where she worked on fine motor skills and coordination. The girl learned to cut with scissors, glue plasticine onto paper, and make her first drawings with short lines. She also started jumping — a skill she has only recently been able to master. Her progress clearly demonstrates the importance of regular training and constant support.
Oleksii completed another course at the Kozyavkin Center. The boy interacted well with the specialists: he did not cry, listened carefully and diligently performed all the exercises, even the difficult ones. Due to very rapid growth, his muscles — especially in the legs — remain overly tense. Therefore, quick results are difficult to achieve right now, but doctors emphasize that noticeable changes will appear once his growth rate slows down. The family believes in Oleksii and does not give up — the fight for his health continues.
The stories of these children remind us how important systematic rehabilitation is. It is what helps young children develop and become more independent. Every donation you make is a part of their future. Thank you to everyone who supports our beneficiaries and gives them a chance to grow.
