Artem’s parents always dreamed of having children, but as they jokingly said, children were in no rush to come. They decided to undergo IVF. After four attempts, they finally received the long-awaited pregnancy — and it was twins. Their joy knew no bounds. The pregnancy was difficult, and Anastasia spent almost the entire time under medical supervision in the hospital. On March 14, 2021, at 25 weeks of pregnancy, two long-awaited boys were born: Artem, weighing 900 grams, and Zakhar, weighing 700 grams. Unfortunately, on March 16, Zakhar became an angel. Artem continued his fight for life, which continues to this day.

From birth, Artem had difficulties digesting food. He was diagnosed with a vomiting syndrome, the cause of which was difficult to determine. Because Artem barely ate on his own and his body did not receive enough nutrients, in autumn 2022 a decision was made to place a gastrostomy tube. Through this device, the child received special high-calorie liquid formulas, as without them he could not gain weight.

When Artem turned one year old, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Shortly before his fifth birthday, Artem lost two baby teeth, and new ones are already growing. Most importantly — the gastrostomy tube has finally been removed! Now Artem eats fully and independently!

Despite the progress made, there is still a long way to go and a lot of rehabilitation ahead. The boy is currently in a period of active growth, so treatment must not be interrupted even for a moment.
