Six-year-old Kira is developing at her own pace, step by step discovering the world around her. The girl has complex neurodevelopmental disorders and autism spectrum disorders, which is why she barely speaks, does not have self-care skills, and requires constant support.
Recently, Kira underwent genetic testing, which revealed a rare mutation for which no specific treatment currently exists. Therefore, the only effective way to support her development is through regular corrective sessions and rehabilitation.
From an early age, Kira has been working with specialists. These sessions help her better understand spoken language, regulate her emotions, and gradually develop self-care skills. Among Kira’s recent achievements are the formation of a pointing gesture, the ability to sort objects, identify colors and domestic animals, as well as significant improvements in balance and motor coordination. Her parents also note reduced anxiety and tension.
Unfortunately, without regular sessions, Kira withdraws into her own world. That is why continuous corrective support is vital for her — it gives her a chance to develop and retain the skills she has already gained.
We have already supported the family twice by covering rehabilitation courses for Kira. Now we are opening a fundraiser for the next course, which costs 24,650 hryvnias (approximately 585 US dollars), and we kindly ask for your support so that the girl can continue to grow and acquire new skills.
