In this difficult time, the good news is reassuring and inspiring to keep working! So time for good news!
Two weeks before the war, we introduced you to Lisa Puhalska. The girl was born with a cleft palate, then her mouth and nasal cavities were connected. Surgery to eliminate this pathology was scheduled for early March. Funds for this were raised in time, but the war broke out in the country. Planned interventions were postponed indefinitely.
But we promised good news! In the first half of April, operations were resumed at the Rudnev Clinic in Dnipro. And on April 20, Lisa had a palate plastic surgery. Now it hurts the girl to eat and breathe unusually. But that didn't stop her from getting back on her feet in the hospital bed for the first time! There are months of rehabilitation ahead, because Lisa needs to learn how to swallow and breathe correctly. After three months, the doctors will decide on the need for the second stage of the operation.
Thanks friends! Together with you, we helped this wonderful girl become healthy!
The war continues. Thousands of children remain in the occupied cities and villages - almost without food and medicine. We can save them together!
