Even before the war, 80 students who came to study from small towns and villages of the Zaporozhye region lived in two dormitories of the Mechanical Engineering School. With the beginning of the military aggression, from April 2022, about 200 internally displaced persons were sent to the facility. They came from the communities of Zaporozhye and Donetsk regions. Confused people, adults and children, with different habits and views on life, they were forced to live under one roof. From the first days of their arrival, the issue of moral support and ensuring proper living conditions became important for the management of the institution. At that moment, the foundation got to know the institution better and became involved in the implementation of providing basic living needs of people.

Thanks to the comprehensive support of the fund from almost all over the world, during the year of the war, we were able to help the institution by more than 11 700 $! We started in April 2022 with the purchase of food products (cereals, sugar, flour, milk). Then there was an opportunity to buy chicken meat, which, by the way, we continue to do until now. They also bought three electric stoves and a freezer. After a series of massive shelling, which led to a partial energy crisis in the city, the facility was helped with a generator.

But with the onset of cold weather, the issue of the availability of hot water became acute. After all, she was not there at all! Therefore, they turned to donors and were able to promptly purchase water heaters. Today we are happy to announce that 12 water heaters have already been installed in two dormitories! And residents of both dormitories have the opportunity to wash comfortably and not be afraid of catching a cold.

A patriotic group of people gathered under one roof, of course, is looking forward to victory! And how I want to go home already! And in order not to waste time, we decided to support our soldiers who are undergoing treatment. When there is an opportunity, dinners and various delicacies are prepared. And it is better to beat the enemy in a group, as they say! Therefore, the issue of equipping the room for cooking with kitchen hoods became acute. Said - done! Now 16 brand new hoods have already been installed in two dormitories. And housewives have a simple dream - a couple of meat grinders and at least one small dough mixer. Because it is difficult to knead large volumes of dough for delicious pies by hand.

During this difficult year, many people who were once strangers became closer to each other. New friends and new wards appeared in the fund. So, the work continues!
