The authorities of Ukraine called on the russian Ffderation to urgently transfer the lists of all abducted children.

Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk reported this in Telegram. "I publicly appeal to the russian Commissioner for Human Rights Tetyana Moskalkova and the russian Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova," Vereshchuk said.

The Vice-Prime Minister demands to immediately transfer to the Ukrainian side the lists of all orphans and children deprived of parental care, who:

- firstly, as of February 24, 2022, were citizens of Ukraine, up to and including the age of 18;

- secondly, they are currently in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine;

- thirdly, they were taken from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to russian territory.

"I suggest sending the lists to the email address: info@minre.gov.ua," Vereshchuk said.

Deportation of Ukrainian children to the russian federation

Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, the russian federation has been constantly deporting Ukrainian children from the occupied territories.

On March 17, the second pre-trial chamber of the International Criminal Court issued warrants for the arrest of the President of the russian federation, vladimir putin, and the Deputy President of the russian federation for Children's Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, on suspicion of the illegal forced transfer of Ukrainian children. This means that they can be arrested on the territory of countries that have ratified the Rome Statute.

According to Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, more than 16,000 cases of forced deportation of children have been recorded in the proceedings being investigated in Ukraine. Actual data may be much larger. 308 children were returned.
