Last Sunday Ukrainian central TV channel made journalist research about selective charity. For many years donations have been a way how to manipulate people’s opinions. Recently charity work has become so popular for many politicians that they use it to promote themselves. So journalists decided to find out who are doing charity because they feel that it’s their obligation to help those who is in need or someone who does this just for appearance. They visited orphanage for children with special needs in Kalinovka orphanage and found out that as this orphanage located very far away from big cities the amount of people who want to help is not many. But those orphanages that are located in a big cities and capital are overloaded with expensive gifts. Also journalists visited office of charity fund “Happy Child”, orphanage “Sun” and other institutions.

Unfortunately the video is in Russian but soon subtitles will be available.
