Despite the cold weather and the slow fundraising process, construction works in Kalinovka are going at full tilt. The reinforced carcass has already been welded and filled with cement, with the concrete form having been set.

The walls are in place with three slabs left to finish the bridging. Those works will be completed as soon as it gets warmer. When the bridging and the walls are ready, we will have to remove the stumps grown into the construction.

As soon as it is done, the roofing works can start. At this stage we will need UAH 110,000 (approximately 13,546 US dollars) to cover our expenses. Currently we are close to raising the necessary sum of money and are now selecting a contractor to do it for us. It is expected that the roofing works will start in March next year.

We still need your help to raise funds for the second Happy Home to be built in Kalinovka! With our joint efforts we will be able to have the second building ready by the Children’s Day (June 1) in 2013! To achieve this aim, we need UAH 40,000 (approximately 4,925 US dollars) for doorsteps and pavement works, UAH 46,000 (approximately 5,664 US dollars) – for the building front, UAH 84,700 (approximately 10,430 US dollars) to get the floor done, UAH 75,000 (approximately 9,236 US dollars) to cover openings (windows and doors), and UAH 103,000 (approximately 12, 684 US dollars) for the fit-out.
