Before and after the leukemia...

Dear friends, donors and readers of our website,

Unfortunately we have to bring you some unconsoling news from Ekaterina Khimenko.

At the end of last March we told you that Ekaterina with her mom had gone for examination and treatment to Israel. The trip, alas, fell short of expectations.

The examination confirmed the diagnosis that meant a treatment of 30,000 US dollars. This sum of money turned out to be enormous for Ekaterina’s family, so the girl with her mom had to come back to Zaporizhzhia.

As soon as Ekaterina arrived home, she was rushed to the intensive care unit of the Zaporizhzhia Children’s Regional hospital where she’s been staying for some weeks.

Ekaterina’s condition is rather critical today. She is prescribed to take a number of expensive medicines several times a day (such as Oliclinomel and Diflucan) as well as special nutrition that is supposed to strengthen her bones etc.

The everyday treatment requires approximately 600 hryvnyas or 74 US dollars a day.

We are asking everyone of you to do Ekaterina a huge favour! She desperately needs your financial support. With our mutual efforts we have already managed to do a lot for Ekaterina and her family! However, we can’t cope with it alone. Keep Ekaterina in your prayers and help her to win this battle for life!

Without our support, six-year-old Kira Kargieva will not be able to continue essential rehabilitation and corrective therapy sessions. Please help us raise funds for treatment and development of the girl!
