30 foster children of the boarding school # 7 (Zaporozhe) have the possibility to visit Kiev. Kiev volunteers are ready to pay for the food and floor show, the only thing left is to gather lacking sum for travel fare.
30 orphans ad children from lower-income families of the boarding school # 7 (Zaporozhe) have the possibility to visit the capital of Ukraine in the beginning of April. Owing to Kiev volunteers the children will have the possibility to visit one of entertainment centers free of charge and to have lunch in the restaurant, then visit to Kiev zoo and sightseeing in the center of Kiev is planned. It’s a day trip, spending night in Kiev is not planned.
Money for the fare to Kiev for children and fosterers is a problem. As turned out, part of the children (5 to 7 of them) have orphan travel pass, and all we need is to pay for their beds (20 hrn per child in total) (5 UA hryvnya = $1). Another part of children comes from lower-income families; they are orphans in fact as they spend even their week-ends in the boarding school. Nevertheless they do not have travel passes – this means that the return fare for ach child is 100 hrn. All children are fosterers of the boarding school, so including someone else to the group is out of the question. Here above mentioned details influenced the budget allocated. We need 2500 hrn to pay the travel fare for the children who do not have orphan certificates. The group is formed already (and consists of the students of 6th and 7th form), children and fosterers look forward to traveling the next week. Volunteers of the fund face a choice – either to cancel the trip or to unite forces and to try to gather the lacking sum.
Children, fosterers and volunteers will be obliged to the ones who will help to organize the excursion by paying passage for at least one child. We are sure that for forthcoming trip to Kiev will stay in the memory of children as a glowing event.
