Evacuation from a Dangerous Zone: 5 More Lives Saved

February 5, 2026, 22:00 177 Author: Project Manager: Viktor Barabanov deti.zp.ua On January 19, 2026, our team evacuated five elderly people from several settlements in Orikhiv district that had been under constant threat for a long time.

Evacuation from a Dangerous Zone: 5 More Lives Saved

Continuous KAB strikes, drone attacks, shelling, complete lack of electricity, gas, water, and communication — every day there is simply a fight to survive.

All evacuees are elderly people. Cut off from the outside world, yet gathered and ready to leave, because there was nowhere else to wait. The evacuation request was submitted by relatives seeking any chance to save their loved ones.

The evacuation took place to Zaporizhzhia, where the people were met by family — with tears of joy, hugs, and relief. Fear was left behind, and the most precious thing — they were together again.

Currently, all evacuees have temporary housing. Returning is unsafe, so ahead lies the search for a new, peaceful place to live without constant fear.

For assistance and to arrange an evacuation, call the 24-hour hotline 203.

This is not just a trip — it is a chance to survive the winter in warmth, have access to water, medicine, and communication, and to feel silence and safety.

We continue to rescue people and need your support. You can help with fuel and vehicle maintenance for further evacuations here:

Without our support, six-year-old Mariia Zaslavska cannot overcome the consequences of a severe illness. Please help us raise funds for life-saving medical supplies!
