Myron Brekher: First Steps of Recovery After Severe Burns

We are sharing updates about little Myron, who survived severe burns and continues his difficult path to recovery.

First of all, we purchased a compression shirt costing 4,500 UAH. It is necessary to ensure that the skin heals evenly after burns and that scars do not become thick and painful. Myron does not like wearing this shirt, but it is an essential part of his treatment and recovery.

We also purchased 4 additional packages of a special scar treatment cream, which will last for one month. Currently, Myron’s burned skin is very delicate, thin, and sensitive, so it requires careful protection from contamination, cold exposure, and any injuries. Thanks to your support, the boy’s mother can now provide full skin care according to doctors’ recommendations, without the forced limitations they previously faced.

Despite ongoing treatment, Myron still has limited mobility in his left shoulder joint due to contractures. His arm cannot be raised to its full range of motion. Doctors have already informed the family that in the future a scar correction surgery is planned, which should improve his mobility and overall quality of life.

We sincerely thank everyone who supports Myron and his family. Your help is a real contribution to the recovery of this little boy and his future without pain.

Without our support, six-year-old Mariia Zaslavska cannot overcome the consequences of a severe illness. Please help us raise funds for life-saving medical supplies!
