Twelve-year-old Margarita has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She cannot walk, can only sit with support, and communicates using gestures and sounds — the girl is completely dependent on the care of her family.
Recently, her mother noticed that Margarita cries during feeding and refuses to open her mouth. She cannot explain what exactly hurts. After examination, it turned out that the cause was dental problems. Because Margarita does not chew and eats only pureed food, her teeth have begun to deteriorate.
She urgently needs treatment for pulpitis of one tooth, as well as treatment of three permanent and two baby teeth. In addition, one permanent tooth requires a crown.
Dental treatment is unpleasant even for an adult, and for a child with such a diagnosis it is a real challenge. That is why treatment under general anesthesia is necessary. The estimated cost is 27,400 hryvnias (аpproximately 650 US dollars).
