At the end of January, we provided assistance to Zaporozhye Regional Children's Hospital. Surgical Department purchased FLOCARE P.E.G. for gastrostomy placement.
The Regional Children's Hospital provides palliative care to seriously ill children. Most of them cannot swallow food on their own. The best way to feed these patients is to administer the mixture directly into the stomach through a special tube. This improves the quality of life of the child and avoids complications when food enters the respiratory tract.
We purchased four sets of different sizes, for the amount of 325 $. Several boxes of special nutrition were also donated to support children in the postoperative period. We thank our colleagues and friends for the special food - Wings of Hope Charitable Foundation.
