=====================================

The last two years have been intense for Vlad. In December 2019, surgery was performed on the left leg. It was necessary to eliminate the shortening and deformation of the foot. He spent three months in a cast. A year later, in December 2020, a second operation was performed on the other leg, also aimed at correcting the deformity of the foot. Then again three months of plastering. After the first operation, the recovery was relatively fast. Two months later, he began to freely stand on his feet, move around on a walker. There was almost no pain. On the other hand, it turned out to be more difficult. During the three-hour operation, unforeseen complications arose. And after that - a hard way out of anesthesia and a day under droppers.

In April 2021, Vladik was removed the plaster cast and began to develop his leg. First - rehabilitation in Kharkov, at the Institute of Orthopedics and Prosthetics. Then, in the Zaporozhye rehabilitation center "Avatazh". And already the summer was met in a sanatorium in the Lviv region.

Vlad is gradually recovering, but in adolescents this process is much slower than in toddlers. Despite this, there are results, and they are visible! Thanks to the operations carried out, the guy began to stand more evenly on his feet. And to acquire the skills of proper walking, he spends a lot of time on the treadmill. The most important thing now for Vlad is not to stop and keep working!

Next year Vlad finishes 11 grades. He sincerely hopes that he will enter the university at the Faculty of History. And the ability to move independently (even with the help of a walker or a stick) becomes even more relevant for him. And then - a dream come true to visit Kiev and visit all the sights of Ukraine.

Unfortunately, good and effective rehabilitation requires material costs. The complex rehabilitation center for people with disabilities "Galicia", Lviv region, is waiting for Vladik to continue his rehabilitation courses this fall. The cost of the course is 1010 dollars
