Diagnosis: sarcoma Yuing of the left shoulder

Many children fall off bikes, usually without complications. Kirill Vereshak fell off the bike, and this brought him to hard experience in his life. Sarcoma Yuing of the shoulder was final diagnosis of his doctors.

But this blue-eyed teenager is not in despair. He believes that his doctors, mom, sister, volunteers, common people will help him in his trouble. He himself promises to endure all tomography, chemotherapy, and operations to become healthy again. Life is full of wonders, and his life has just begun.

His moms life, whose name is Sveta, is not all flowers. Her husband tragically died, her sister was seriously ill, and Sveta has to bring up her nephew. There are three children in the family (Kirills younger sister Masha is ten years old). They live in a small town Tokmak, Zaporozhye region.

On November 8, 2006, Kirill was taking his second course of chemotherapy. He feels bad, often vomits. He needs expensive anti-emetic osetron. The doctor told Sveta that in a fortnight the boy needs tomography of two parts of the body, which will cost 800 grivnias ($160), plus $10 to take a taxi. Then, perhaps, they will have to go to Kyiv for further check-up or operation.

We can give the boy and his mom our helping hand, even if we only call them and wish them recovery. We believe that, in spite of all, Kirill will be able to ride a bike

Here is the letter from Kirills mom, Svetlana Lisovskaya:

"Recently the fate has willed to be hard on me. First, my husband tragically died. But this grief was followed by my sisters serious illness, now she is registered as a second category disabled person. I have been bringing up my sisters son for a long time. We live with my mother, bur she suffers from high blood pressure. My father died many years ago, before my second kid Masha, who is now ten, was born. I became responsible for all. I bring up three children. But the worst misfortune happened to my son Kirill. It seemed as if nothing serious had happened - the boy fell off the bike. It often happens and without complications. In our case it was different. Kirills diagnosis crushed me - sarcoma Yuing of the left shoulder, pathologic fracture. We started treatment in August 2006, went to Kyiv to gave tests, all at our own expenses. The authorities of Tokmak gave no help except empty promises. But we have tomography, irradiation, and operation. Kirill feels bad after chemotherapy, I have to buy expensive anti-emetics (one pill of osetron cost more than 2US$). I have no way out but to seek for help from other people. I am grateful if you hyelp us."
