=====================================

A young couple dreamt of filling their home with child’s laughter, of coming back home after work and embracing their beloved child. Their dream eventually came true – they became happy parents of a lovely baby boy they named Maxim. But their joy did not last long – physicians diagnosed their precious son with many complicated disorders. Since then the life of Maxim’s parents consists of sleepless nights. Their only goal is struggling for their son.

Even before Maxim turned one year old he was diagnosed with retinopathy of both eyes of the fourth stage. Thanks to four surgeries the boy can see with the help of glasses. His list of diagnoses is much longer though. Due to cerebral palsy Maxim is basically not able to do anything unaided: he can walk and eat with his mother’s help only. Therefore, his parents are strongly determined to help their son to become a bit more independent. This means long and exhausting therapies that will gradually help Maxim’s muscles function better.

There’s no time to lose. Maxim needs to take the rehabilitation course in a specialized center for children with cerebral palsy in the city of Truskavets (western Ukraine). The center’s treatment methods have proved to be very effective.

This kind of treatment costs around 621 US dollars. The family has already spent all their money as well as donation help of a local deputy for retinopathy treatment in Kyiv.

Maxim’s mom and dad are appealing to you: “Help our beloved son, please! We really look forward to your support”.

The family lives in Zaporizhzhya (Ukraine)
