=====================================

"I love you,

And there are no words more powerful than these,

Out of my dreams, I am flying towards you,

Yes, for you, I am ready to do anything.

I love you,

And it's a simple formula,

Starting with this blank page,

We'll defend our love." These words, from the very beginning of their relationship, warmed Anna's heart. Confessions of love, promises that they will always be together, that nothing and nobody would ever be able to break them up, to destroy the most beautiful feeling on Earth--love. Their household was one of mutual understanding and harmony. They read each other’s minds. Anna already knew then, that no matter what happens, she'd never betray him and would always be his "right hand." Unfortunately, she did not yet know then that the feeling was not mutual.

The morning started just as usual. The sun was shining outside, they were both in a fine mood, preparing breakfast for two and getting ready for work. Suddenly, Anna felt a strange discomfort in her neck, and when she glanced at herself in the mirror, she was horrified. There was a huge lump. "What is this? Where did it come from?" Only doctors could answer these questions, and so the newlyweds asked for leave from work and rushed to the hospital. During the check-up, it turned out to be the very thing they were both so afraid of.

"Hodgkin's lymphoma"! Anna and her husband were looking at each other and hardly knew what to say. The stress they had to live through during the treatment was tremendous. In the beginning of 2011, Anna had several cycles of chemotherapy. And then...then she got pregnant. All her friends and relatives were against her having this baby, because she was not yet fully recovered after her illness, and there was a high probability that this would affect the baby's health. But Anna yielded to her maternal intuition and risked it. Nine months later, a perfectly healthy baby-boy was born, and although he is still little, the doctors say that he was born "with a silver spoon in his mouth"--he is quite healthy.

A year went by, peacefully and happily, then Anna felt unwell again. Severe headaches and malaise wouldn't go away and she had no other choice but to go to the hospital again, despite her fears..."It's a recurrence..." And again, the same feelings, the same worries...but this time, a very different situation.

Having learned about her condition, Anna's spouse immediately "backed away." He didn't believe in her, he didn't want to uphold his promise to be with her always and everywhere, to be her help and support. He simply disappeared from her life: "I don't need a sick wife, or a child, either." This phrase broke her heart. The person who meant everything to her, had abandoned and betrayed her. Even worse, Anna was working as an accountant in his firm, and as soon as the divorce went through, he fired her, thereby leaving her on the street, with a toddler on her hands…

Love and relationships are a delicate matter, as you know. It is very frightening when one realizes that none of us is guaranteed against being betrayed. Anna was devoted to him, she dreamed of bringing up healthy children, of being the perfect wife and mother. And we are certain that she will still fulfill these dreams, except that the person who stabbed her in the back, the traitor, will never again be present in her life...

Anna is very likely to recover, but only if she gets an opportunity to go through three more cycles of chemotherapy. Three cycles have already been completed; in other words, she is halfway through, thanks to the joint efforts of her friends and family and of the contributors of the "Happy Child" foundation.

Anna's thick luxurious hair fell out because of chemotherapy. But she's not giving in!

Each cycle of chemotherapy costs 2,000-3,000 hryvnyas (approximately 244-366 US dollars). And, considering the fact that Anna is unemployed at present, Anna's living expenses come out of her mother's pension.

A twenty-four year-old Anna has experienced many things in her life: there was love and tenderness, there were pain and fear, disappointment and hopelessness. Anna truly URGENTLY NEEDS your support- prayers and donations... We need to help her get back on her feet, to subdue her illness and to fulfill long-held dreams: to teach her son, to bring him up as a real man, one who will never betray those dear to him and will always defend them, no matter what it costs.

"When I look into my son's eyes, I see the rest of my life in them. These are my son's eyes, I will live for his sake, if only I have the opportunity to be cured..."

Anna and her family live in the city of Zaporozhye.
