Arthur and Olga have a very large and close-knit family. They have six children, the youngest of all is just one year old and the oldest daughter is 12.
The family had been hesitating for a long time whether to leave their hometown as they had everything there – their home, farm and a plot of land. They held out as long as they could, but the explosions of shells and volleys of machineguns were heard more and more often in their settlement...
Undeclared war forced the family to run away and seek asylum at good people. One night when the children could no longer sleep normally, their mother had a nervous breakdown; the next day they only took documents and basic essentials and left for Kharkov.
Upon arrival there Olga got into hospital. Arthur had six underage children to deal with and he had no idea where to go to or who to ask help from as they had no friends in that city whatsoever.
Once Olga felt better and got discharged from the hospital, the family moved to Zaporozhzhye. In our city church parishioners responded to their call for help, they allowed the family to stay in their place.
Thus, a problem of accommodation was solved but now the family is facing another one - where to get money from because they have spent all their savings. The situation is getting even more complicated as the kids have become ill one by one. One of the girls had to undergo an operation on their arrival in Zaporozhzhye – this is how their moving adversely affected her. On August 8th, 2014 three children had fever and doctors’ efforts to help were of no result and at night Arthur with three kids was hospitalized.
Now Olga and Arthur Haytyan desperately need your help! The staff of the Foundation provided them with detergents and care for children, stationery for school and some food. They still need food and financial aid to buy medicine in the hospital.
These parents are on the verge of despair, please, help them cope with a series of misfortunes!
