I would like to start telling the news about myself from the words of thanks. I am overwhelmed with positive emotions so that I can’t keep them. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who did not stay aside and helped me – and there were a lot of such people.
I would like to boast that my dear friends organized a charitable concert “See with Your Heart”. Many thanks to Valentin Terletsky and Veronika Bezverkha (our new, honorary volunteer) for organizing the event. It is hard to express all the gratitude to Dmitry Gulyakov, art director of 7 Dok Art Club, which opened its doors to welcome us. A million thanks also goes to the performing artists: Dekadans, Nefedov's Band, Yuri Kulinich, Sergei Dymovsky. The concert helped to raise UAH 2,000 (90 US dollars). I have already said and I will say it again and again: with such support, with such friends I do not have any other options apart from getting well.
There is another piece of good news that I have for you. I announce the fundraising campaign for my surgery closed. Thanks to our website and the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, we were able to raise the amount to pay for the production of implants for my eyes and for the surgery! This Saturday (20.06.15), I am going to Kyiv for additional examinations and for measuring the parameters for the implants. By the middle or end of August, the implants will “grow” and the surgery can be made!
When I learned that we raised the necessary amount, I burst into tears. Thank you, my dear friends, for those tears of happiness! My emotions still “hold” and overwhelm me. I have more than once evidenced the wonders you make when we were able to raise the required amounts of money for the children and adults whose profiles I was managing. Now I can feel it again and again, this time, unfortunately, by personal example. Thank you for your kind hearts, for this wonder in my life! I will tell you the truth: I am a bit scared of what is going to happen to me, all things unknown are always scary. But I know for sure that this unknown is something good. Thank you for this chance to see this world and before long, to see it better.
I promise that I will keep you updated on all the developments related to my treatment. Look for the good news from me on our website!
P.S. On the eve of my birthday, I would like to ask all of you, who wanted to prepare presents for me – better help those who need it most: my best and very talented but very sick children with cystic fibrosis or the adult patients from the Helpus project.
Finally, I would like to wish you all peace and harmony, in your hearts and with the world around you!
