Disease history

Medical report

Vladislav was born on March 25, 2004, weighing only 980 grams. Doctors gave him poor prognosis, but his parents’ efforts restored him to life. However some problems still remained. At 4 months Vladislav was diagnosed with congenital cardiac malformation, at one year - with cerebral palsy. But the parents did not give up and went to different rehabilitation centres in Odessa, Truskavets, Berdyansk, Kharkov, Uzhgorod, Dnepropetrovsk. There were many courses of pharmaceutical treatment, and unfortunately some drugs caused hearing complications. In 2011 Vladislav was diagnosed with severe hearing loss and now he has to use two earphones. After treatment in a hospital in Dnepropetrovsk Vladislav’s hearing started coming back gradually. Now Vladislav and his parents attend rehabilitation courses every month, latest course was hippotherapy.

Vladislav needs urgent surgery in Ladisten orthopedic cosmetology hospital. It will be performed by Vitaliy Veklych, Candidate of Medicine. The estimated cost of supplies and medications for the surgery is $2,752. The family does not have these money…

Vladislav attends local state school #95, he is in fifth grade. At the end of last academic year he received achievement certificate for his outstanding grades. He likes working on his computer, reading books and collecting coins. Vladislav has talipes equinoplanovalgus surgery scheduled for autumn. There is a great chance he might be able to walk after it.

This child needs our help. His parents are at the end of their resources, current treatment brings improvements, but they practically have no money to continue…
