Hundreds of people with disabilities living in boarding schools need to be evacuated

May 26, 2022, 18:25 782 Author: President of Happy Child foundation: Albert Pavlov deti.zp.ua The lives of these defenseless people are in danger!

We are currently dealing with the very difficult issue of evacuating an entire psychoneurological (mental) institution (PNI) located very close to the front line. This is about 4 hundred people with disabilities, from 18 years to old age. People die in the villages around the boarding school almost every day. Any projectile can kill hundreds of people. Most residents of this PNI can move independently, but there are also bedridden or people with a very deep impression of the nervous system. There are also people who have a mild form of mental retardation and are almost indistinguishable from ordinary people.

A difficult question - where to take them? Authorities are trying to find a place in Western Ukraine or abroad. I understand that such institutions in Western Ukraine are overcrowded. Maybe someone has ideas for accommodation in Ukraine or abroad? Also, I would be grateful for the contacts of organizations that help to take people out of bed and people with disabilities.

It is very important! The lives of these defenseless people are in danger!
