Zaporozhye orphanage for boys is a home for children with learning difficulties ages 4 to 18 years old. The major component of their education is classes with a teacher in the rehabilitation room – reading, writing, developmental games. For a long time this room remained unequipped for classes.

Last year the management of the orphanage invited the administration of the Zaporozhye branch of “Erste Bank” for holiday celebrations and spoke about the existing problems. Then it was decided to provide assistance – sponsors have replaced windows, doors, electrical wiring and heating system.

Today only some cosmetic repairs are left unfinished. Needed:

- Prime the walls;

- Sand and seal the hardwood floors;

- Put wallpapers;

- Make window slopes;

- Install hardboard ceiling.

All materials are already bought; however, finances allocated to upgrade the facility are running low, so project’s initiators are looking for partners to complete this good deed – people who can finish the room or help compensate the builders. According to preliminary calculations, this should be an additional 8,000 – 10,000 hryvnas (around $993-1,242).

Those wishing to assist in prompt opening of the rehabilitation room in boarding house for boys at Velikiy Lug may get in touch with fund’s staff, help with repair works or make a donation.
