Everyone is off to the seaside!

August 12, 2014, 17:00 3550 Author: Maria Semashkina, translated by Daria Sukach www.deti.zp.ua Last July four grownup dwellers of the Kalinovka orphanage went to a Christian summer camp. Many thanks!

Last month four dwellers from our two “Happy Homes” – Katya, Larisa, Sasha and Lyosha went to the seaside. They could not go with other children to an ordinary summer camp, so thanks to your support they went to a Christian summer camp on the beach of the Sea of Azov.

The young people with their caretaker Larisa spent nine fabulous days at the seaside. Most of the sea campers were children with special needs accompanied by their parents who did not abandon them in an orphanage. Our young friends from Kalinovka called Larisa their mom but she did not mind that. Some vacationers were wondering if Katya and Larisa were twins.

The guys went to the seaside twice a day. They also attended handicraft clubs and Bible lessons. They truly had the time of their lives there, so they did not feel like leaving. We hope that with your kind support these young people will be able to enjoy their sea vacation again next year! Thank you!

Without our support, fifteen-year-old Maksym Didenko will not be able to continue his vital rehabilitation and corrective classes. Please help raise funds for the boy’s treatment and development!
