Thanks to you, friends, Kostya completed a rehabilitation course in Truskavets on time

It’s incredible! The sum required to cover Kostya trip to Truskavets Rehabilitation Center was collected in a very short time. We would like to say a big thank you to all our supporters for this opportunity for the boy to receive timely rehabilitation services! This is extremely important for a child with cerebral palsy.

Kostya’s mother said that he was very conscientious and patient about his treatment and followed all instructions from the doctors. He said, "First exercises then the mat!" The mat is a play rug in a specially equipped room, the favorite place of children in the clinic. They hang out together, play with big geometric figures, and take Montessori classes to develop their speech, memory, concentration, and fine motor skills.

In the course of rehabilitation, Kostya was able to master new skills. He is standing well and now keeping his feet flat. He walks now, though not very confidently, raising his arms and standing on tiptoe! He even began to walk on stairs on his own.

“Our little hero is very hard-working; he is a true fighter” wrote Kostya’s mother Olga. “The treatment course was just wonderful! We see positive dynamic after every round of rehabilitation. It means that we are moving in the right direction! I sincerely thank Happy Child Foundation and all the kind-hearted people who made this great gift to our son – two weeks which were so important for his health!”

To sustain advancements and achieve long-term positive outcomes in the treatment of children with special needs, rehabilitation courses in special facilities are needed on a regular basis, reinforced with daily exercises at home according to all the doctors’ instructions and recommendations.
