On the 22nd of October, 2011 The Puppet Theatre of the Zaporozhye region opened its doors for the orphans of the Orphanage for boys with special needs.

This time, thanks to the director of the Puppet Theatre Anatoly Kolba, the children of the younger grades of the orphanage were lucky to see a charity perfomance. Twenty children that were thrilled had the great pleasure seeing a production of "Thumbelina", based on Hans Christian Andersen`s fairy tale.

At the door as leaving the auditorium, the children were able to have a closer look at the very beautiful puppets. They were able to play a bit with the unusual wooden statues and also to take pictures next to their favorite characters.

Certainly, it is very important to understand that every kid who is living in an orphanage needs very much to have positive emotions and happy times in their lives. The sad days in an orphanage without loving parents and relatives, often even without people that are just close to us would make anyone feel lonely and unprotected in this big world of everlasting fights between good and evil. So, thanks very much to everyone who understands this and reaches out their helpful hands to young, kind and yet carefree youngsters that have a hard life.
