As of today, 9 family-type orphanages have been created in Zaporozhye, of which four are in the parents' own living space, and five more have received service housing from the mayor's office.

There are also 13 foster families. One of these families, in addition to her own child, is raising three more adopted children from a large family, and soon another baby will get to them. However, the adopted children have three more sisters who remained in the Solnyshko orphanage. The foster mother agreed to take all the children into custody so as not to separate the brothers and sisters, but the problem is that her own living space does not allow accepting all the children.

Irina Povalyaeva tried to independently resolve the issue of expanding the living space, but to no avail. Officials from the Children's Service initiated in the executive committee the purchase of housing for the future family-type orphanage.

According to the calculations of officials, 208 850 dollars are needed for these purposes. Such a family-type orphanage will be able to accommodate a maximum of 10 children with a calculation of 20-21 square meters per child. 20% of this amount will be covered by the Zaporozhye City Council, and most of the costs will be borne by the state as part of a subvention for the purchase of housing for a family-type orphanage.
