Every night, Russian invaders shell our city and its surroundings, destroying civilian buildings and killing civilians. These shameful actions cause us rage and a desire to do even more on the path to victory!
A few weeks ago, we planned to equip a bomb shelter in School No. 65 of our city. Currently, this educational institution is both a school and a headquarters for a temporary shelter for internally displaced persons. During an air raid alert, teachers who conduct classes online hide in the school shelter, as well as displaced persons who have just arrived in Zaporizhzhia from the occupied or frontline territories and stayed in the shelter for a couple of days. Some of them have suffered so much during the war that they cannot even imagine how it is possible not to be in a basement when explosions and sirens sound.
Today we received and handed over to the school the first twenty folding beds with mattresses, with a total value of 44,000 hryvnias. We ordered them directly from the manufacturer, saving money and supporting local businesses in Kharkiv. And we didn't pay a single penny for cargo delivery — these costs were completely covered by Nova Poshta Humanitarian.
Thank you to all friends and partners! Special thanks to the Ukrainian community of Vietnam for making this purchase possible.
So, the first step towards a "proper" shelter has been taken! Ahead lies the purchase of chairs, heaters, blankets, beds, and a portable toilet.
Join in, together we will do more!
On October 24, our foundation's project — "A 'Proper' Bomb Shelter for Zaporizhzhia" — started on the dobro.ua platform. Therefore, you can also support this initiative on our partners' website.
