=====================================
Denis has been sick since March 2014, when his parents noticed a new growth on his right upper eyelid.
After Denis was examined in the Ophthalmology Department of Zaporozhye Regional Clinical Children’s Hospital, he was diagnosed with right upper eyelid tumor. The boy was referred to the Filatov Institute in Odessa, where he had a surgery to remove the tumor on 9 April 2014. Pathology report: Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma.
After the surgery, Denis received a course of radiation treatment. Then it seemed that everything was over…
Unfortunately, there was a relapse in six month, with another surgery in Odessa. The boy received treatment for another year. At the end of 2015, Denis had one more operation to remove a new growth on the right eyelid. Afterwards, the boy was referred to the Neurosurgery Institute named after Academic A.P. Romodanov, to the Radioneurosurgery Department, where he went through a radiosurgery on linear accelerator.
The family spent a huge amount of money in those two years. Denis’s parents did their best to cover all the costs themselves, but treatment of such severe disease costs a fortune. Nobody knows how much more money will be needed…
Denis is a very kind-hearted and tender boy. Since early childhood, he has been fond of clay modeling, and the figures he makes are the exact copies of movies and comics heroes.
At the moment, the boy needs 40 ampoules of Uromitexan. And only God knows what treatment will be necessary in future.
We ask all of you to help raise funds for the treatment of Denis – cheerful, nice and talented boy, who has got his dreams, goals and desires.
The family lives in Melitopol, Zaporozhye region.
