Nastya’s disease grows progressively worse. Formerly the effect from sclerotherapy, which is provided in Kyiv, lasted for more then one year. But now the situation took a turn for the worse – only three months after the sclerotherapy Nastya can live without hemorrhages. As a result – low level of the haemoglobin. It is practically unreal to receive appropriate treatment of this disease in Ukraine, especially when hemorrhages are so rapid and unpredictable. Our doctors can provide only symptomatic treatment, like sclerotherapy – but it is not the way to recovery.
There are hospitals where portal hypertension is treated successfully for at least many years. For example University Clinic of Regensburg, which is ready to admit Nastya to the clinic for medical evaluation and treatment.
Here is the invoice from the hospital.
Nastya’s family is in permanent stress situation – child’s organism is worn and subjected for every infection, hemoglobin is on low level, so she can’t visit school lessons and communicate with friends. Her life consists from painful injections, fear and deadly uncertainty. How they can be certain that terrible hemorrhages will pass away, hemoglobin level will rise and it will be possible to receive proper treatment.
Have you ever talked to parents of such ill child? Have you ever looked into their eyes? There is plenty of despair, fair and uncertainty…and single gleam of hope, one hope – to receive an opportunity to rescue the child’s life. And there is the only way for it - to find money for IMMIDIATE medical evaluation and treatment.
Nastya’s mother strives as hard as she can. In view of the fact that her daughter needs permanent nursing care she works in a system of underemployment – the salary is small, and of course it is not enough for the regular medication. Every sclerotherapy in Kyiv costs more then 350$. There is no sense to imagine that this little family can afford qualified medical evaluation and treatment in one of abroad clinics.
Actually, Nastya and her mom Natalya are not alone. Not indifferent people are giving them a real support! Several organizations of our city permitted to place the donation-boxes at there area. Sums, which were collected in the July-August and September-October periods we passed to this family for Nastyas treatment.

We should admit that Ukrainians and even foreigners having read about this situation also donate definite sums.
Preliminary cost of medical evaluation comes to 7000 Euro, and about 3000 Euro must be transferred to the clinic’s account for the unforeseen expenses (unused part of this sum will be returned to Nastya's mother). Depending on Nastya's results of medical evaluation German doctors will prescribe the following treatment; probably it will be the liver transplantation.
We need to find a rest of the sum – 3000 Euro (as Nastya’s mother has already gathered about 4000 Euro) and then we can send the child to the Regensburg Clinic. If not to become treatment as soon as possible Nastya can perish from bleedings that occur more frequently. Even small donations of many people can help Nastya to fight with her illness.
