Little Danil finished his lifepath on Febuary 8th, 2015. This brave boy was the sun of the department of oncology. May Danil rest in peace!
This nightmare started in autumn 2012 when little Danil suddenly couldn’t pee anymore. Danil’s mother immediately took her son to the local Tokmak hospital which referred the child to the Zaporizhzhia Regional hospital. As soon as Danil was admitted to the hospital, he was rushed to the intensive care unit where he had to stay for three days. The following examinations and computer tomography revealed a tumour in Danil’s urinary bladder.
The tumor was removed on November 30rd. The histology tests confirmed the final diagnosis: embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the urinary bladder, stage one.
“We’ve gone through six rounds of chemotherapy. The computer tomography and cystoscopy showed that my son has relapse…My son suddenly had five tumours instead of one. Three tumours were successfully removed and another two ones were scheduled with anti-relapse chemotherapy course before they could be finally removed in a year. The chemo resulted in a new relapse…”
Little Danil is prescribed high-dose chemotherapy. The boy’s family is financially exhausted to continue their son’s treatment!
“Our family is asking everyone of you to support us! Cancer is a terrible disease which still can be conquered. What really matters are faith in recovery and strength. We are trying to stay strong but we do need your kind support. We’ll be grateful for any financial and moral support! My son’s life has just started. I do want my son to deserve his right for life. I truly believe my son will be a winner thanks to your kindness!”
The family lives in a town of Molochansk (the Zaporizhzhia region).
