Igor has a cherished and, alas, impossible dream! The guy is only 9 years old, but he doesn't dream about modern gadgets or cool expensive toys. Our hero wants to be healthy, like his twin brother.
From birth, the boy was diagnosed with an incurable diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. As he grew up, he could not understand for a long time that his brother Nikita did not need to drink handfuls of pills or to sit for an hour for tedious and unpleasant inhalations. At first, he perceived the treatment as a punishment, then came the realization and inevitable acceptance.
Igor has a severe intestinal-pulmonary form of cystic fibrosis. Already two harmful infections, which constantly destroy the lungs, live in his body.
From May to October, Igor suffered a dangerous exacerbation and was transferred twice to intensive care. Doctors, with the help of consultations, tried to stabilize him without surgery on the lungs. For a long time it was not possible to stop the hemoptysis.
At the moment Igor is in remission, the specialists managed to postpone the surgery. Unfortunately, in the future, it cannot be done without a difficult and dangerous operation, since the guy has a thrombosis of the vessels of the middle lobe of the lungs, as well as a bag-like expansion of the bronchus with areas of fibrosis in the right lung.
To live at home and not in a hospital, Igor needs expensive daily treatment. Every day is scheduled according to the strictest medical requirements: exercises, kinesiotherapy, medication; inhalations with salt, pulmozyme and antibiotics, enzymes with every meal, evening inhalations with antibiotics. Only part of the drugs are issued for public funds while most of them are purchased by the family on their own. Every month, outpatient treatment requires about 370 dollars, and in a hospital the amount rises to 740 dollars.
The young boy is just beginning his conscious life, and he really needs our support!
