Tymofii was born at the 25th week of pregnancy, which is five and a half months out of the required nine. The boy's weight was only 810 grams! For a long time, he fought for his life in the intensive care unit for prematurely born babies at the Zaporizhzhia perinatal center. Thanks to the professionalism of the doctors and his great will to survive, Timofey slowly grew, gradually gaining weight. During all this time, the baby could not breathe on his own and required artificial ventilation.
Tymofii and his mother are now in the Zaporizhzhia Regional Children's Hospital. In the four months of his life, the boy has endured more than 100 injections, blood transfusions, and a complex eye operation. His list of diagnoses is extensive: bronchopulmonary dysplasia, respiratory failure of the 2nd degree, internal hydrocephalus, and neonatal convulsions.
The child needed a pulse oximeter with a neonatal sensor to constantly monitor his blood oxygen levels and heart function. Therefore, the parents turned to us for help.
Thanks to the daily support of our benefactors, the foundation reacted quickly by purchasing a set of equipment worth 15,000 hryvnias (380 US dollars). Now, Tymofii's parents will be able to monitor his condition both in the hospital and at home.
Long-term treatment requires daily expenses for medicines, examinations, consumables, and hygiene items. The financial resources of families fighting for the health of their little ones are quickly depleted. Therefore, your financial assistance will be an important support in the treatment of these precious babies and will help us respond quickly to the appeals of parents.
