Stepan Needs Help Again!

Stepan Needs Help Again!

Stepan was born extremely premature, weighing less than one kilogram. As a result of his early birth, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Now five and a half years old, Stepan is actively engaged in rehabilitation both at specialized centers and at home with his mother. Step by step, he is mastering new skills, and every achievement brings joy to the family and inspires them to keep moving forward. Stepan can now sit confidently and is learning to sit up on his own. He can stand with support and, when leaning against a wall, can remain standing on his own for about 30 seconds. The next big goal is to teach him how to stand up from a sitting position — a challenging but very important milestone.

In addition to his physical progress, Stepan’s speech has significantly improved. Changing speech therapists brought positive results — he now knows all the letters and actively repeats words. He can count up to 10, and even backwards! Work continues on his physical abilities as well — together with his rehabilitation specialist, Stepan trains his balance and self-control.

Stepan Needs Help Again!

Specialists note steady progress and believe that Stepan has every chance to achieve significant improvement — as long as the intensive work continues. His parents devote all their love and energy to his development every single day. But without our support, they won’t be able to cope alone.

Right now, 26,900 UAH (approximately 650 USD) is needed for Stepan’s next rehabilitation course. This is his chance to take another important step forward — toward a more independent and fulfilling life.
