Thus, out of 3,770 orphans and children deprived of parental care living in the Zaporozhye region, today only 1,718 remain in the region. With the help of the Service, the Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration and foster families, children are transported to safe places, in particular, to Western Ukraine and abroad.
According to Antonina Matveeva, cited by the press service of the Regional State Administration, out of 10 institutions in which there were children deprived of parental care, 9 are located abroad, and 1 is in Western Ukraine. The service maintains constant contact with the heads of these institutions. “Monitoring is carried out every day. Every day we know where and in what conditions children are. We try to work in accordance with our legislation,” said the head of the Children's Affairs Service.
