Yaroslav is 13 years old. He was born prematurely, weighing 1.8 kg, so he spent the first months of his life in the hospital. Over time, the boy grew up, but remained weak. He couldn't sit well, he couldn't walk at all. After the examination in Kyiv, a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia, valgus deformity of the feet, and strabismus was established. Yarik could not stand on his own either, he only crawled. And later, he moved with the help of a wheelchair.
In 2017, Yaroslav underwent an operation using the Ulzibat method. And the rehabilitation courses helped in stretching the muscles. Together with my grandmother, they traveled to rehabilitation centers in the Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. And at the Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic in Truskavets, Yaroslav took his first 8 steps. So, gradually, thanks to the child's efforts and visits to specialized medical institutions, Yaroslav got up from the wheelchair. The boy began to walk with the help of a walker or a stick.
Now Yaroslav lives in the village of Malokaterinivka, Zaporizhzhia region, with his grandparents. This year he finished the 6th grade under an individual program. Unfortunately, due to frequent shelling, many of the boy's friends went abroad. But, thanks to his grandfather, the boy has mastered the computer, so he can continue communicating with friends via the Internet. And also, after each rehabilitation, Yaroslav finds new friends, with whom he will continue to meet periodically in various centers.
The boy likes to play checkers, recites poems by heart. Takes part in various competitions, but dreams, like all boys of his age, to play football. But he still can't run on his own. When walking, the boy's legs are sometimes crossed, so he has to use sticks or walkers. It takes more than one rehabilitation to stand firmly and walk on your own two feet.
We are asking for help for the rehabilitation course, which will start in September 2023 at the "Rostok Zhittya" center, at a cost of $ 866.
