Stepan Suvorov was born prematurely, weighing less than one kilogram, and spent the first months of his life in hospital. Premature birth caused a number of serious health problems, including cerebral palsy.
This summer, Stepan turned 7. Over the past year, thanks to regular therapy and rehabilitation, he has made a big step forward. Stepan has started talking and can already express his thoughts and answer questions. Now, together with his mother, he is learning to read and count.
In the spring, Stepan became seriously ill, which caused him to lose some of the skills he had acquired. What takes months to achieve can sometimes be lost literally within a few days.
Stefan's physical condition remains his biggest challenge. Because of spastic diplegia, he has difficulty controlling his movements, maintaining balance, and coping with constant muscle spasticity. Therefore, he needs regular physical activity and exercises.
Stefan now needs an intensive rehabilitation course aimed at improving balance and coordination of movements and strengthening his arms. Stepan really wants to learn to crawl, but weakness in his arms does not yet allow him to do so.
The rehabilitation course is scheduled for December. Its cost is UAH 39,900.
Friends, please help Stepan continue his rehabilitation and preserve the skills he has gained. Every contribution brings him closer to his biggest dream — walking independently!
