Children from "Solnishko" babies' orphanage

Zaporozhye's babies' orphanage "Solnishko" ("Sun") is perhaps the most famous institution in Zaporozhye region for orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as children with severe congenital malformations, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, HIV, children from families in crisis. The peculiarity of the institution is the age of children - from birth to 7 years. This is the only institution in our region for babies left without parental care.

Since 2016, Happy Child Foundation (www.deti.zp.ua) has focused on helping children from the palliative group. These babies have the most severe congenital diseases and malformations, many of them need tube feeding with special expensive products. Several years ago, Maya Rovenchak, the founder of the New York Foundation Maya's Hope, visited Solnishko, was impressed by what she saw and began an active fundraising campaign.

Since 2016, Happy Child Foundation, thanks to Maya's help, has purchased special food, medicines, creams and other products worth about $100000. This project made it possible to improve the quality of life of seriously ill children, reduce their suffering and create a basis for further rehabilitation.

We continue to help "Solnishko" in cooperation with the Americans, but we very much hope that the people from Zaporozhye will also contribute. Helping the babies' home is very easy - click here
